O meu nome é Anna Mancini e nasci em Guardiagrele, uma pequena cidade na região de Abruzzo, uma região junto a uma montanha mágica e misteriosa chamada ‘La Majella’. Desde criança que o desenho sempre foi a minha forma favorita de comunicar com os outros, e comigo mesma, um tipo de linguagem que chegou cedo, mesmo antes das palavras, e que faz, ainda hoje parte da minha vida, por vezes imprevisível. Após ter concluído estudos no ‘Istituto Statale D’Arte’ de Chieti. Frequentei as DAMS de Bolonha e depois um curso de ilustração na ‘International Comics School’ de Roma onde consegui as notas máximas e ganhei uma bolsa de estudo. Logo no ano seguinte comecei a leccionar na ‘International Comics School’ de Roma, onde vivi uma grande aventura que me levou a fazer parte do ramo Pescara, onde ainda hoje interajo de forma muito alegre com os meus alunos. Já tive o prazer de expor as minhas ilustrações em muitas cidades e colaborei, quer como ilustradora, quer como fotografa com revistas italianas e do resto do mundo, trabalhei como decoradora de interiores e exteriores, trabalhei como pintora de retratos, ilustrei posters publicitários e capas de álbuns musicais, transformando esta fantástica paixão em trabalho ao longo dos anos. Desde 2012 após ter vencido um concurso organizado pela “Frigidaire”, comecei a trabalhar com esta iconica, estimulante e revolucionária revista, fundada em 1980, onde publico o meu projeto KromoGirls. Desde 2012 sou, também decoradora e curadora da ‘Mostra dell’Artigianato Artistico Abruzzese’ of Guardiagrele (Ch), uma excitante experiência que me permite conhecer artistas muito especiais, que conseguem dar vidas com as suas mãos a obras de arte incríveis.

My name is Anna Mancini and I was born in Guardiagrele, a small town in the Abruzzo region near a mysterious and magic mountain called 'La Majella'. Since I was a child drawing has always been a way to communicate with myself and the rest of the world, a language which arrived long before words and it is still part of my life which is often unpredictable. After having graduated at the 'Istituto Statale D'Arte' of Chieti, I attended the 'Dams' of Bologna and then an illustration course at the 'International Comics School' of Rome where I achieved full marks and won a scholarship. From the following year, I started teaching at the 'International Comics School' of Rome where I experienced an amazing adventure and then subsequently joined the Pescara branch where I still happily interact with my students. I have exposed my illustrations in many cities and have collaborated both as illustrator and photographer with Italian and magazines from abroad, decorated internal and external environments, worked as a portrait painter, illustrated advertising posters and music CD covers, transforming this fantastic passion into work during the years. Since 2012, after winning a contest organized by “Frigidaire", I have been working with this iconic and stimulating revolutionary art magazine, founded in 1980, where I have published my KromoGirls, a project created in those years. Since 2012 I have also been decorator and curator of the 'Mostra dell'Artigianato Artistico Abruzzese' of Guardiagrele (Ch), an exciting experience which enables me to learn about special artists capable of giving life, by means of their hands, to incredible works of art.
